Carrier appetite summary

ACCC Insurance Company is no longer an active underwriting carrier and has not issued new policies since 2020. All ACCC policies were cancelled or assumed effective on or before January 29, 2021, and the company was placed into liquidation by order of the Travis County Judicial District Court effective December 30, 2020. ACCC is in receivership with Prime Tempus, Inc. as Special Deputy Receiver. As such, there is no current underwriting appetite, no new business or renewals, and no active producer or broker submission channel. Historical context (for reference only – not active appetite): ACCC previously specialized in non‑standard personal auto for higher‑risk drivers, operating primarily in Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, New Mexico, and South Carolina. It wrote through appointed agents and managing general agents, focusing on personal auto risks that did not qualify for preferred or standard markets. Formerly, producers would have submitted business via ACCC’s agency network; however, all such arrangements are now defunct and superseded by the liquidation order. Current operational / broker notes: - New business & renewals: No new or renewal policies may be written with ACCC. Treat ACCC as a defunct carrier and place all business with alternative markets. - In‑force policies: All ACCC policies were cancelled or assumed no later than January 29, 2021; there are no remaining active policies to rewrite internally. - Assumed business: Texas policies in force as of December 1, 2020 were assumed by Redpoint County Mutual Insurance Company; Alabama policies in force as of the same date were assumed by Incline Casualty Company. Embark General is the current contact for questions related to those assumed policies and for claims with dates of loss on or after December 1, 2020. - Claims & receivership matters: For legacy ACCC claims or estate issues, follow instructions published by the Special Deputy Receiver (Prime Tempus, Inc.). The proof‑of‑claim filing deadline for the receivership estate was June 30, 2022. Agents and brokers should not represent ACCC as an available carrier and should direct any policyholder or claimant inquiries to the receivership contact information shown on the ACCC website or the appropriate guaranty/assuming carrier. Because ACCC is in liquidation, there are no active preferred, restricted, or declined classes, no geographic appetite, and no submission requirements other than following receivership and guaranty‑association instructions for legacy claims.
